Poke vs Pally: messaging, calls and optional costs

Poke and Pally are assistants you can message for personal tasks. Poke offers Poke Human, a person handling errands under Ultra. Pally describes business calling and free use with replenishing limits, plus a separate optional Cloud Mac. Compare the service your task needs rather than the free label alone.

Poke and Pally both let you delegate from messaging apps. The main choice is the service around the message: Poke offers Recipes and a human errand route, while Pally describes AI business calls and optional connected-chat features.

Messaging is separate from history access

Poke's homepage lists its messaging channels and connected apps. Confirm the preferred channel in your account. Its FAQ describes Gmail and Outlook support and integrations including Notion, GitHub and Linear.

Pally's pricing page lists direct WhatsApp messaging separately from connecting your own WhatsApp chats. It also describes an optional Cloud Mac, a hosted Mac signed into your Apple Account. General texting does not require that add-on.

Decide whether you want to send a request or work with existing history. If one forwarded message provides enough context, you may not need a history connection. Review the requested access separately from the messaging channel.

Who handles a business call?

Pally's calling guide describes an AI calling businesses and returning the outcome. Poke's documented Human service uses a real person. That difference can affect what you want to delegate, but it does not establish a higher success rate for either route.

An illustrative brief for comparison: "Ask the repair shop whether my item is ready and when I can collect it. Do not approve further work or charges." This is a suggested task, not a report from a customer or our own test.

An unanswered call, a voicemail and a confirmed pickup time are different outcomes. Resolve identity checks or payment decisions before treating the errand as complete.

Free plans and separate services

Poke pricing lists Free, Pro at $19 monthly and Ultra at $199 monthly. Ultra supports additional, metered pay-as-you-go usage beyond its included credits. Poke's FAQ places Poke Human under Ultra and says expenses paid on your behalf remain separate.

Pally publishes free use with replenishing limits, an optional $95 monthly Cloud Mac and invitation-only VIP at $1,000 monthly or $10,000 annually. Those options serve different needs; do not add Cloud Mac to every texting comparison or treat the free allowance as unlimited.

Include required services and merchant charges when comparing costs. Read Poke alternatives and Pally alternatives for more options. Arlo vs Pally and Arlo vs Poke cover calls and bookings from a text; current Arlo allowances are on pricing.

Arlo also handles AI calls from Messages or WhatsApp, with Slack available for work. Start free with one task, or read the direct Pally comparison.
